Crime and Punishment

Reflections on the Justice System The topic of crime and punishment has been addressed in several of my English classes. We have analyzed different justice systems around the world and how they influence society. This topic has helped me better understand laws and human rights. Case Studies Analyzing real cases of crime and punishment has allowed me to apply my critical thinking and argumentation skills in English. Discussing these topics has been instrumental in improving my ability to express complex opinions in a second language. Resources used Videos: Documentary series about court cases. Audios: True crime podcasts. Oral Texts: Class debates about famous cases. Written Texts: Analysis and essays on the judicial system.

Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

Development of Critical Thinking In today's world, it is essential to develop critical thinking skills to evaluate the information we receive. During my English learning, I have participated in debates and discussions that have helped me question and analyze information more effectively.  Media Literacy Media literacy has allowed me to understand how information is created and distributed in the media. This is crucial to avoid misinformation and fake news. Resources used Videos: Documentaries and conferences on critical thinking. Audios : Interviews with media experts. Oral Texts: Class discussions about cases of fake news. Written Texts:  Essays and articles on media literacy.

Hobbies and interests

Music as a Learning Tool One of my biggest hobbies is music. Listening to songs in English has not only been entertaining but also educational. I have learned new words and expressions, improving my vocabulary and pronunciation. Resources used Videos: Video clips of my favorite artists. Audios: Podcasts about music history. Oral Texts: Song lyrics analyzed in study groups. Written Texts :  Articles and reviews about musical albums.

The Family and its Influence on Learning

My Family History Family has always been a fundamental pillar in my life and in my learning process. Growing up in a bilingual environment has allowed me to have an advantage when learning a second language. My parents have always encouraged me to read English books and watch movies without subtitles to improve my listening comprehension. Resources used Videos: Documentaries about family history. Audios: Interviews with my grandparents about their immigration experiences. Oral Texts : Conversations recorded during family gatherings. Written Texts : Letters and emails exchanged with relatives abroad.
